How might your body tell you a story that is under your skin, or that has happened to it? Could a piece of music form the opening of an autobiographical story? These are just a few of the prompts we will use over this five-day course, as we approach the world of possibilities that is Graphic Narratives. There is no house style, there are no rules about what a zine/comic/cartoon/graphic novel is. Instead, we will use a multitude of mediums, diverse drawing exercises, be inspired by ground-breaking artists, and enjoy plenty of one-to-one tutorials.
