MENSTRUAL HYSTERY (2024- ONgoing)

Why don’t we know more about women from the Bible and their ageing bodies? This series celebrates all things damp, warm, wet, dripping, drooping and middle-aged.

These artworks will be displayed in “Biblical Women Ageing Disgracefully”, at Bar Ilan University, Israel (2027) and “Biblical Women Ageing Disgracefully” at Lower Slopes Gallery (2027) .

These artworks have previously been displayed in “The Weight of Being”, Two Temple Place (2026), “Biblical Women Ageing Disgracefully” at St. Paul’s Church and Cotham Parish, Clifton, Bristol (2026), “Encountering Biblical Bodies: Sarah Lightman’s Biblical Women” at University of Manchester (2026), “Biblical Women Ageing Disgracefully” at Chester Visual Arts, Grovesnor Shopping Centre (2025) , Women Weekend at Storyhouse Chester (2025), Bell House Artists’ Open House (2023), “Women Celebrating Surrealism” at Islington Arts Factory (2022), Wells Art Contemporary (2022), and Society of British Artists (2022).
